  Excellent country hospitality! After our car broke down on Wonnangatta rd, Bruce and Sue fixed us up with last minute accommodation in 'The Avenue' right next to the general store. They helped us to arrange a tow truck the next day and let us use the accommodation past the check out time while we waited for the tow truck. The accommodation was very nice too - very clean and spacious, with a well equiped kitchen, comfy bed and couches. It's a pity that we didn't get to enjoy it for longer.

  Fuel when and where you need it, opposite the famous Dargo Pub. The Dargo General Store has a good offering for the traveller and always friendly.

  The general store is well visited selling basic hot food, fuel (diesel, unleaded and premium) as well as the typical souvenirs and an opportunity to buy those forgotten camping basics.

  The young staff are friendly and have the right approach. There is one however that sours the experience...I'm sure she feels the customer should be the one grateful for them being there. Fuel in that region is very much needed and the premium price tag is willing paid because of this. I just hope the general store appreciates the tourism dollar brought in by the mostly recreational clientele and that they would be smaller or out of business completely without it.

  Massive thanks to the dargo general store, rolled into town (just) with a completely collapsed wheel bearing in my KTM, and by some stroke of genius, the store keeps stock of wheel bearings, and even had a full bearing/seal kit for my bike! Also let me borrow some tools to do the job.
